More spells gone wrong...err... scratch that! Hi there! Marabelle here. Forget spells gone wrong. We are way past that. Serial killers and black magick is where everything goes to Hades in a cauldron! With the release of Charming the Alphas, the Sweet Briar Hollow story continues with Lucian, Marabelle & Zane's story. We dive back into the mysterious world of the High Council and shifters where nothing is as it seems! Charming the Alphas is finally here! This means the end of a series, but a whole new beginning to another! I admit, spending the last couple of months with Lucian, Marabelle, and Zane has been bittersweet. I love my witches and wolves and from all the emails and messages y'all have sent I know you guys do too! Thank goodness we won't have to entirely leave this world behind. ;) From the bottom of my heart, thank you for writing and letting me know you guys want more! After all, I write for my readers! The Hex My Heart series was my introduction to writing paranormal romance a little over a year ago. I'm hooked! Honor and Jake showed me their world in Hexing the Alpha and from there, each sister in the Sweet Briar coven helped me discover the true depth to their world. (Psst... It's true. Sometimes authors don't know everything about their worlds going in!) With Jinxing the Alphas I came to realize something was off kilter in Sweet Briar. True evil lurks beneath the sleepy town and Ambrosia was the first to peel back the veil to give us a peek. Bewitching the Alpha made me cry for the first time in my entire writing career. Julian and Ember's story hit me hard and when I typed THE END on their book I suddenly realized the Royals of the High Council needed to be stopped. Alone, the witches under the Council's rule have no hope in defeating the Council's power, not even with the help of their new Lycan mates. Hello sexy dragons shifters! Together the werewolves and dragons will have to set aside their differences and bad blood to fight back their common enemy. In Enchanting the Alpha Harmony agrees to help by using her psychic abilities and all hell breaks loose. While Charming the Alphas is the last in the Hex My Heart series, it is also a bridge book that will fuse the magickal world of Sweet Briar and a brand new series coming later this year. The journey is just beginning! There will be huge surprises, new characters to fall in love with, and wild adventures. I can't wait for you all to read Charming the Alphas! I hope you enjoy reading the story as much as I loved writing it! ![]() Amazon | iBooks | Barnes & Noble | Kobo | ARe One’s own death isn't the kind of thing a witch goes around planning, but after tonight, kicking the cauldron would be the easy way out. But first, she'll have to die. As pack enforcers Lucian and Zane’s first instinct is to protect their sassy witch. Their second is to claim her. But before they can take her as their life mate, both alpha shifters have vowed to help Marabelle reclaim her powers. But, when the time comes, all three soon discover not everything is as it seems in the world of Magick. Read the how-to's. ;) It's time for another #throwbackthursday as we get closer to the release of CHARMING THE ALPHAS! Julian and Ember touched my heart the second their characters came walking into my life. Their story of second chances and betting the odds have had readers reach out and say they were inspired to go after what their hearts wanted just by reading Bewitching. That's powerful and I'll never forget those emails. Read on for a little snippet and don't forget the last story in the series hits the digital shelves next Tuesday! “You can’t fight the lure of the charm, Julian.” Pure fury lightened his already ethereal eyes. The glow was as beautiful as it was lethal, lethal to others, anyway. She knew, down to the deepest part of her soul, he would never hurt her. Never threaten her or raise a hand to strike her. But there was a warning that hid beneath the surface of his bunched muscles and strained expression. If she pushed too hard, he might push back and what he’d demand as payment would be more than she could pay. Obviously, he didn’t know her very well. Not anymore. He thought the shy, sweet Ember he fell for two years ago had returned. Her inner vixen smiled. Oh, bad, bad move, wolfie. No. All illusions of innocence had vanished long ago. What stood in the middle of his living room was a woman damn determined to give as much truth as received for both their sakes, and she damn sure wasn’t shy on how to go about getting it. She was so over cowering from the higher powers and the bullshit rules of her world. Her new motto: Fuck ‘em. And if his people had anything to say about her charming a second-in-command alpha shifter to a powerful pack, then they knew where to find her. Until then, she planned to get her life back on track. If Julian wanted to scare her, he’d have to work a helluva lot harder at containing the lusty vibes that rolled off him to stroke a sweet trail of lust along her libido. He stepped in and slammed the door closed behind him. She felt the thud of wood hitting metal all the way to the soles of her feet. He was pissed. Too bad. “What the hell was that, Ember?” He scrubbed a hand over his face but it was too late. The second the charm left her palm, it absorbed into the skin and it was balls to the wall from here on out. Let the fun begin. She mentally cracked her knuckles. Tingles ran along her skin and her mouth grew dry. Deep and dark, she steeled against the shiver that wanted to rack her body. His voice washed over her like a velvety caress. She rolled her shoulder. The effects of the charm were starting to kick in, but she managed to skirt the full truth. For now. “A charm.” Normally, she would have bought some time with an answer of Lust Dust or something equally horny-sounding to make him think she was here only to get into his pants. Which currently rode low over his hips, as if he’d dressed in a hurry to get here. She raked her gaze over his bare chest, pebbled nipples from the cold before returning her attention to his face. “Ride like the wind, did you? What’s the hurry, wolfie?” Without breaking eye contact, Julian reached into the back of his jeans to produce his phone. With a flip of his thumb, a bright red dot flashed on the screen with an intruder warning in a bubble to the side. “That’s new.” “It is. Had it installed a week after you skipped.” “Burn, baby. Why would you want to do that?” She mentally slapped a hand to her forehead. Truth charm, stupid. Don’t ask questions you don’t want answers to. “To keep meddling little witches out of my house. For good this time.” “Hmm. Might want to get your money back for that cuz I strolled right in. No bells or warnings of impending doom.” “It worked just fine. I’m here, aren’t I?” Wow. He sure as Hades had a way of making a girl feel two inches tall. She cringed inwardly but held her ground. Julian edged forward a step, his boots laced halfway. “Why are you here, Ember? Don’t you have some spell to work up or potion to mix?” Or a heart to break? She couldn’t hear the words, but he didn’t need to say them. The tight-lipped and brow pinched expression he wore like a second skin said it for him. He brushed past her and headed toward the kitchen and all but skidded to a full stop when he spotted her mischief spread over his dining table. “The spell work is done. Now to see the results.” Her voice low, calm and a complete contrast to the ire she could see tightening his shoulder blades. “I can feel whatever you dosed me with. What have you done, babe?” He turned to face her, his expression tight with worry. What was it about him that made her so hot she rivaled the sun? “Do all the other woman I’ve seen you parade around the Matchstick take the edge off, Julian?” She hadn’t planned to rip off the Band-Aid in one pull, but there you go. Deep down, she didn’t want to know his answer, but couldn’t stop the question from slipping out. “Don’t.” Warning bells went off in her head for all the wrong reasons. His jaw clenched and unclenched. Was he gritting his mouth closed to keep from answering? Lips moving soft as butterfly wings, Ember chanted a line from her spell in a hushed whisper. Bring to me truth this night With open hearts and secrets revealed “Tell me, Julian. No secrets, no lies. Not tonight. I just want the truth. Then I’ll be out of your hair for good, wolfie.” She forced out the lie. Her charm took a little longer to work on her. Perks of being the casting witch. Muscles flexed, bunched. She took a step toward him and his eyes flashed in warning. A deep, guttural growl stopped her cold. “You can’t fight the lure of the charm, Julian.” _________________________________________________ COPYRIGHT© 2015 TALINA PERKINS BEWITCHING THE ALPHA

Read the how-to's. ;) It's time for another #throwbackthursday as we get closer to the release of CHARMING THE ALPHAS! Luke, Ambrosia, and Evan are battling their bond. Ambrosia is determined to break it with dragon's blood, but her men are desperate to show her love can not be contained within the rule books of the High Council. Read on to find out more! “Take what you want, sweetheart.” “There’s no hiding, little witch. Our wolves are hungry. Don’t be scared.” The only thing Ambrosia feared was being alone in the middle of a snow storm with them another minute. Still, Luke’s warning weaved through the trees. Suddenly, as if the goddesses conspired against her, she hit a deep section and face-planted. She threw out her arms but still ended up with a mouth full of snow. With lightening quick reflexes she rolled over and pushed, but yelped when her foot didn’t budge. Rough bark scraped against the inside of her ankle as she flexed her leg and pulled. Buried roots entangled her, locking her in place. “Hellz fucking bellz!” So help her… On the verge of tears, she pounded a fist into the snow, but it didn’t help lessen the frustration eating at her. It seemed like everything that could go wrong tonight did exactly that. What the fuck! Fast-paced footfalls brought her head around. “Need a hand?” Evan and Luke stalked forward, their pace swift, stealthy. Crimson reflected moonlight and for a brief second, flecks of amber sparkled in the depth of their gazes. Like a moth to the flame, she leaned in. Their promise—or warning—teased her mind until she shook her head clear. Her heart pushed for the delicious burn of their palms across her ass. Her brain threw on the brakes and slammed into reverse, pedal to the metal. At some point between her hitting high speed and them hot on her trail, they’d each found time to pull on a pair of jeans. Pity. Stubble covered Luke’s chiseled jaw while Evan sported a clean shave. Both drew her attention and all she could think about was the last time she had them between her thighs. A distraction. She needed a distraction but her eyes stayed glued to the men. Muscles bulged. She watched on, wholly and completely mesmerized by their well-defined abs highlighted by perfect dips and swells made for licking. Unable to do much else she balled her fists by her side, willing every pulsating nerve in her body to calm. The. Hell. Down. She bit back a groan. Even the moonlight loved them, caressed them. She marveled at how the gauzy light played with the shadows over every inch of their muscles that flexed with each step they took, sparking a ravaging hunger within her. The way they stalked toward her… she all but creamed the small strip of silk between her thighs. Strong legs encased in snug denim ate up the distance between them. The tight material hugged them in just the right way, defining the bulges that fueled her fantasies and long nights. It took all she had to not wet her lips from the sudden urge for a taste… and so much more. Whoa. Where the hell did that come from? Goddess, help her. Because on her own, she didn’t stand a chance. She sucked back air and groaned. They’d left their low-slung jeans open at the snap. Cold-hearted teases, both of them! Lust tightened a coil of excitement in her belly. So fixated on them, she’d forgotten all about the snow wetting her through the thin material of her gown. She looked up at Evan who now stood over her, his body within reach and her unable to act on the first instinct of having him so close. Now that was the real pity. Evan raised his chin and sniffed the air, his response a sly, knowing grin, eyes ablaze. “Already that excited to see us. Something you want, sweetheart?” He kneeled. Hey! Who the hell was he to judge? His gaze glided up her bare legs and over her thighs, exposed from where her gown bunched up around her thighs. With a simple drop of her leg, silk-covered folds would be on full display. Should she? Did she dare? Evan reached into the snow and coiled his fingers around her foot to help free her from the roots. Before she could say a word he stood, pulling her with him. In one swift movement he had her wrapped around him, her ass cradled in his firm grip. She did the only thing left to do and locked her ankles. All thoughts of the cold no more than an afterthought. An onslaught of sensations demanded her attention. “Have you been aching for your alphas, little witch? Divine dessert, our Ambrosia.” Luke spoke up beside her. No sugar coating. Just straight to the point. Probably thought he didn’t need to be suave with rosy words with how he was so used to getting whatever he wanted. She inhaled to steady herself and settled in her resolve to get the hell away from temptation first chance she could. This close, the heat of Evan’s body pressed against her like a full-body cocoon and played havoc with her mind. Without thinking, she reached out and stroked a finger down his smooth jaw, her gaze locked on his full lips. One taste. Just one. She eased closer. “Take what you want, sweetheart.” Yes. Just enough to dampen her need. Fingers buried in the length of her long hair, holding her steady. Instead of finding Evan’s lips, she tasted Luke as he angled her face toward him and claimed her mouth with a possessive kiss. One stroke of his tongue along her seam and she opened. Every nerve ending in her core ignited with wild, untamed insatiable lust. A mixture of pine and leather filled her, enveloped her. Evan teased her nipples into tight peaks through the silk of her gown with the tip of his tongue before sucking the extended buds between his lips. He pulled back abruptly and she gasped from the rush of cold air against her wet nipples. “We’re not leaving Sweet Briar without you.” _________________________ COPYRIGHT© 2015 TALINA PERKINS JINXING THE ALPHAS
It's #throwbackthursday! With the release of CHARMING THE ALPHAS, the final book in the Hex My Heart Series, coming up fast how about a teaser snippet of the first book in the series? Jake and Honor have had a long standing attraction to one another but their social status among the otherworldlies have forced them apart. Until now. Nothing stands in the way of an alpha werewolf wanting his mate! “Never call me Mr. Monroe again unless you want me to do unspeakable things to you that would leave you blushing come morning.” Honor’s magick shimmered the length of her spine and instinct stiffened her muscles. Snapping her phone closed, she whirled on her heel, expecting to find one of her sisters. Instead, chiseled muscles defined by outdoor labor and encased in black cotton came into view. She traced a path first down to see solid thighs covered in the sexiest fucking black jeans she’d ever seen on a man and up to find a gorgeous set of dark blue eyes staring down at her. “Getting into trouble again?” he drawled, his rough baritone doing wicked things to her cool composure. That was on the outside. On the inside two emotions warred for control. Fear of what he might have overheard with his heightened hearing. And nerve-searing, thigh-clenching lust. Lust was winning by a mile. He anchored his hands on two wooden chairs on either side of him and breathed in deeply then released on a long sigh. “Honor.” Why did he have to say her name as if he’d just made love with her? Jake—the werewolf shifter that starred in all her fantasies— stood so close she could reach out and touch any part of her fantasy she wished. He must have sensed the turn her dirty mind had taken because his pupils dilated and the rims of his irises brightened with an otherworldly glow in a color she could only describe as a mixture of sapphire with shards of ruby. The contrast just as striking as the man. She’d seen his eyes like that once before, but hadn’t gotten to ask what it meant. “Why the two colors again?” “What?” He straightened, letting his hands fall to his side. It was just like her to blurt whatever decided to stomp through her mind before she had a chance to filter her thoughts. Her question caused his brows to pinch together and he took a half step back from her. “Your eyes. Why are they glowing two colors? They’re beautiful.” She inched closer, forcing him to bump into a neighboring patron’s table. He threw out a hand to steady it before he answered. “It’s nothing. Just a little tired.” She reached to settle her calming touch on his shoulder, but he jerked back before she could make contact. Ouch. She lowered her hand to her side and swallowed the hurt. Fine. She knew lines when she crossed them and she had no intentions of crossing any more lines with the alpha. Honor went to sidestep the man and leave him to his corner before she embarrassed herself anymore, but was brought up short with his hand over hers. With a sigh, she angled her head to the side and asked, “What can I get you this evening, Mr. Monroe?” Her eyes trained on the man who oozed her brand of sexiness and brought Color Me Bad’s I Wanna Sex You Up to mind on constant replay in her head. She quickly looked away, scanning her bar instead. “Look at me, Honor.” He leaned in, taking up all the space in front of her, the tip of his nose almost touching hers, demanding her attention. Her heart tripped along, quickening her breath. Standing with her phone in one hand, her other in his, she did as he asked. “I’m sorry.” He ran his free hand through his tousled shoulder-length hair in frustration. “It’s hard to explain.” His gaze roamed over the half-filled bar before returning to meet hers. “But Honor,” his voice pitched low as though he only wanted her to hear what he was about to say and his dual-toned gaze locked on hers. “Never call me Mr. Monroe again unless you want me to do unspeakable things to you that would leave you blushing come morning.” _________________________ COPYRIGHT© 2015 TALINA PERKINS HEXING THE ALPHA
